Pamfilya Berlin: The Best Kebab of My Life!
Today I went on a döner tour to Berlin, and I have to say: this was by far the best kebab of my life! I'm talking about Pamfilya, a place that's apparently already been raved about by quite a few other foodie YouTubers - and rightly so. As soon as you walk in, you see the huge meat skewer spinning on the grill, completely homemade, as I was told. No mass-produced meat here, but their own recipe, their own seasoning, freshly layered. You can practically see just by looking at the skewer how juicy and flavorful the meat is going to be. The veggies at Pamfilya are also prepared completely fresh: finely cut tomatoes, cucumbers and white cabbage sit ready to go, everything looking crisp and freshly chopped, not premade out of a bag. On top of that there are homemade sauces that give the whole thing some real punch. The finished Dürüm, or the döner in flatbread, is generously filled: lots of meat, lots of fresh veggies, a good sauce - all wrapped in crispy, warm bread. From the very first bite you notice the difference to your average run-of-the-mill döner shop: the meat is tender, well-seasoned and not dry at all, the veggies are fresh and crunchy, and the sauce ties everything together perfectly. I've eaten quite a few döners in my life, and personally, Pamfilya just raised the bar a whole lot higher. No wonder this place ranks right at the top of the international kebab rankings. For anyone in Berlin looking for a really good, honest kebab: Pamfilya is an absolute must-visit. My verdict: absolutely perfect, and I will definitely be back!
